Each edition opens on a single machine and follows it outward. The machine is the door, never the subject. What matters is where the door leads.

The middle of every edition carries the proof: a path through the archive's own graph, drawn node by node, where every hop is a real record rather than an editorial flourish. If a page only describes one car in isolation, it belongs in the Encyclopedia, not here.

Every edition closes by naming the next one, and opens on a door the previous edition walked past. Read them in order and they form one continuous argument.
